Noah's 4th Grade River Trip

Does this look familiar too anyone? I was a chaperone on Noah's field trip which was a half day river trip down the Colorado. I helped fund raise this year to pay for the trip. It is pretty expensive-$70 per student. Most kids would never get the opportunity to go. It was so fun. Our raft only had 12 kids and 3 adults. The other rafts were packed with 28 people. Noah's teacher is Sue Smith (or Keisling or Gloss for anyone from Page) She has been great for Noah and is used to boys since she has 5 boys of her own. We loved having her as a teacher. The weather was perfect. It was cold when we started. Noah is so great to be around, he is the best 4th grader out of all the kids. We saw petroglyphs. After Lee's Ferry we went to Navajo bridge and saw 3 condors. I only had a disposable camera so my pictures are not that good. I did not want to take my nice camera it could fall in the river. The condors are amazing. Huge. They look like giant vultures.

Esther's Preschool Program

Esther's preschool had an end of the year
program. Esther was a shooting star. She
had all of her songs memorized and loves
singing them. Her teacher has the preschool
in her home. Esther went on Tues and
Thurs from 10-12. I cried at the program
when her teacher showed a DVD of pictures
throughout the year. I don't want Esther to
grow up. Esther's good friend Janie moved in
February and Esther still talks about her.

going to school and loves her teacher Miss Jill.

Lake View Track Meets

Every year our elementary school has a track meet against the other elementary school in town. Jonah's relay team took 3rd place! Noah ran 1200 meter and took 5th out of 25. Noah was so tired. They both did a great job! This was the first year it was not hot while we watched in the stands. It is held at the high school track. This is the coldest spring ever. Ezra is in kindergarten and they have a track & field day at the school. Ezra was in a relay race and was half a length ahead of the next closest team. The kid that Ezra handed the baton to started running forward but turned around and headed back to where he started. It was hilarious. Ezra was yelling, "No, go that way" . Finally the kid went the right direction. So Ezra says he won his race even with his team getting 4th out of 4. Cute.

Father & Sons and Mother's Day

The boys love going to Father & Sons campout. It is their only camping of the year and they are so happy! This year was on the stake level and there was an ex-NFL player that spoke about priesthood blessings. All the boys paid attention. The other 12 hours were spent playing makeshift baseball with other boys. The campsite was only 15 minutes away in the middle of the desert but the boys didn't care.

I had a great Mother's Day. Scott was in charge of Primary with some other dads so we could go to class. I missed my kids when I went to Relief Society! They did a great job. Hannah wrote a poem for me. I'll have to ask her if I can post it. I loved all the cards and flowers the boys and Esther made in class. I think Mother's Day is the only day I remember to have Scott take my picture with our kids. It's usually me behind the camera. Tomorrow is the last day of school. I can't wait!

Ezra's Kindergarten Play

The music teacher at our elementary school has each grade put on a play. Ezra had one line in the program which was about what the kids have learned in kindergarten. He said, "I can even count backwards." The songs were fun. Our favorite is called "One Green Jellybean". May is the busiest month we have ballet, baseball, plays, track meets, and awards assebmlies. School gets out this Friday at 12:30. I can't wait to have my kids home for the summer so I can see them more. This year has gone by fast.

Our Beautiful Ballerina

Hannah was in the Puss in Boots ballet on May 2 and 3. She was a villager and a cat in Acts 1 and 4. Her friends Marisa and Tiana that are with her were in the ballet also. She has been best friends with these two since 1st grade.

Spring Baseball in Page

Jonah has been the best batter on his minor league team. His team is in 2nd place right now. Jonah went 5 for 5 at his last game and played short stop and catcher. Ezra's t-ball just finished their season. Ezra is ready to play in the minors next year. In t-ball there are no outs and everyone gets a chance to bat in the two innings. Ezra bats left the first inning and right the second inning. I haven't taken pictures of Noah's major league games. This is the first week it has been warm at night. Noah's games can go until 9 pm and it has been a very cold spring with a lot of wind. We've had to wear coats and bring blankets for the late games. We love baseball. The boys play it every chance they can.
